Russia said on Friday "double standards" were "unacceptable" in dealing with terrorism.
Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Loshchinin voiced this point at a meeting with three foreign ambassadors in Moscow - Sven Hirdman of Sweden, Iliyan Vasilev of Bulgaria, which holds the rotating chairmanship at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and Tiddo Hofstee of the Netherlands, which holds the rolling presidency in the European Union.
"The Russian side noted that the events in Beslan and other recent terrorist attacks pose a threat to the international community which calls for a resolute pooling of efforts in combating this evil. It stressed the unacceptable character of a policy of double standards and a policy of connivance at the activities of envoys of terrorist organizations," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a release posted on its website.
