The European Union is determined to boost trade ties with Iran while the EU Commission is preparing proposals and plans to set forth in talks with the Iranian officials, the Commission announced today.
The EU-Iran relations are improving following a recent visit to
Brussels by Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi.
Kharrazi visit was the first visit by an Iranian foreign minister
to Brussels since the aftermath of the Islamic Revolution in 1997 in
Iran.
An EU delegation visited Tehran following the September 11 attacks
on the United States to be informed of the stands adopted by Iran
vis-a-vis the issue and the anti-terrorism campaign.
