The European Commission (EC) europa.eu.int/comm/index_en.htm reported that Lithuania is the most successful in implementing EU internal market directives into the national law among EU-25.
According to the figures announced by EC, the deficiency of the transfer of the directives into the national law in Lithuania amounts to 0.7 % this year, and along with that in Hungary and Slovenia is the least in the EU. Also, it was noted that least violations in the implementation process were ascertained in Lithuania too.
Other new EU members also demonstrate successful implementation of EU internal market directives into their national law. The deficiency in Malta makes 1.2 %, and in Estonia and Slovakia it amounts to 1.4 %. In Poland the deficiency of the transfer of EU internal market directives reached 1.7 %, and in Latvia it amounts to 2.5 %.
