NATO military bases will be stationed in Lithuania if its security interests require this, secretary of the Lithuanian Defence Ministry Povilas Malakauskas said on Tuesday.
Regarding the question of Vilnius acceding to the adapted Conventional Forces in Europe (CFE) Treaty, the Lithuanian Defence Ministry's representative said that Lithuania's stand on the matter is "absolutely clear".
Lithuania will join the Treaty as soon as it is ratified by its signatories, Russia included, Malakauskas said.
