On 28 September, during a phone conversation, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas congratulated the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Iurie Leanca. 
V.Ušackas reiterated Lithuania's support to Moldova in creating an independent, stable, democratic and economically strong state. The Minister stressed that Lithuania will continue to support Moldova's integration with the European Union and encouraged Moldova to restore normal relations with Romania.

V.Ušackas invited I.Leanca to visit Lithuania soon.
