Latvia's efforts to join NATO and the European Union will be central to a visit here by Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga beginning Thursday, the Latvian embassy said Saturday.
The Czech republic has been a full member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization since March 1999. During her five-day visit, the Latvian president will have talks with Prime Minister Milos Zeman and meet the speaker of the Czech Senate Libuse Benesova.
