“Today Lithuania and Mexico are linked by strong bonds of friendship. Participation of Lithuania, as a full-fledged member, in the European Union partnership with Latin American countries opens up many new opportunities for Lithuanian-Mexican cooperation”, writes the President in the letter of congratulations.
In the letter, President Adamkus invites the Mexican leader to visit Lithuania in 2009, to celebrate the millennium of the first mention of Lithuania in written sources.
