Prime Minister Kubilius on a visit to Poland

On Wednesday, 14 January, Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius departs on a two day visit to Warsaw, Republic of Poland. On 14 January, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, Speaker of the Sejm Bronisław Komorowski, Speaker of the Senate Bogdan Borusewicz, and representatives of the local Lithuanian community; and on 15 January, the Prime Minister is to meet with President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński.

In his meetings with the leaders of the neighbouring state, the Prime Minister is to talk over topical bilateral relations: prospects for the strategic partnership development, progress of energy and transport infrastructure projects, national minority topics, the Polish Card, and other topicalities, as well as discuss further cooperation in Euro-Atlantic structures: EU energy security, EU Neighbourhood Policy, relations with Russia, transatlantic cooperation, regional security aspects, and exchange opinions on other significant topics of international policy. In his meeting with representatives of the local Lithuanian community, the Prime Minister will discuss problems of Lithuanians living in Poland.
