Rocket attack on Lithuanian-led PRT camp in Ghowr

Lithuanian-led Provincial Reconstruction Team in Chaghcharan was fired at on September 16. PRT personnel did not suffer any injuries.

At about 6.15 at Lithuanian time a missile was fired at the PRT camp. It detonated in uninhabited part of the camp territory. The explosion set on fire mobile container-storage. The fire was immediately extinguished.

After the incident camp guard was fortified and investigation launched in cooperation with local police.

“Soldiers responded to the incident and fulfilled relevant procedures highly professionally. They have high motivation,” said PRT-7 Commander Col. Ramunas Baronas.
