Russia has completed negotiations on tariffs with ten countries within its efforts to enter the World Trade Organization (WTO), the press service of the Russian Economy Ministry reported.
Tariff negotiations with about another fifteen countries are close to completion, in particular, Hungary. Currently, issues on access to the market of financial, transport and telecommunications services are still unsettled. Another round of negotiations with the EU on Russia's entering the WTO will start in Brussels on January 27, 2004. In addition, on February 2, 2004, the task force on Russia's accession to the WTO will start meetings in Geneva, Switzerland.
