Russian Security Council Secretary meets EU official

Russian Security Council Secretary Igor Ivanov and EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie have supported stabilization in the Caucasus region, the press department of the Russian Security Council reported. Ivanov met Talvitie in the Kremlin today. The two parties discussed a number of issues including Russian-EU cooperation. They also considered the current situation in the Caucasus region and stressed the necessity to solve the existing conflicts peacefully.
