A forthcoming visit

Saparmurat Niyazov, president of Turkmenistan will visit Kyrgyzstan, KZ-today correspondent reports from Bishkek.
According to the information given by the press service of the upper chamber of Kyrgyzstan parliament, this decision was made at a meeting of the chairman of medzhlis of Turkmenistan, Ovezgeldi Atayev and representative Assembly of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan, Altai Borubayev. The meeting has been held in Sholpon-Ata during a forum "Eurasia in XXI century: dialog of cultures and conflict between civilizations?" which took place on 10-12 June.
A forthcoming visit of the president of Turkmenistan will be aimed at the development of intergovernmental relations. Kyrgyzstan is the only one country in Central Asia there the embassy of Turkmenistan has not been established yet. An official visit of the president of Kyrgyzstan, Askar Akayev to Turkmenistan took place in 1994.
