Prime Minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong started a two-day official visit to Poland on Monday with a meeting with his Polish counterpart Jerzy Buzek.
The first day of the visit of the Singaporean Premier will be devoted to talks with the Polish prime minister. On Tuesday Goh will be received by President Aleksander Kwasniewski and will meet with Sejm Speaker Maciej Plazynski and Senate Speaker Alicja Grzeskowiak.
This is the first visit of a Singaporean prime minister in the past 35 years. Goh Chok Tong is accompanied by a group of businessmen interested in contacts with Poland. The visit is expected to boost Poland's trade exchange with Singapore and stimulate investments of that country in Poland.
