Continuing his official visit to Sweden, Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius met with the heads of the largest Swedish power energy companies. The meeting focused on the strategic energy projects of Lithuania relevant to the region as a whole.
Mikael Odenberg, Director-General of “Svenska Kraftnät” - electricity and natural gas transmission system operator in Nordic countries (“Nord Pool”) - emphasized that the company’s interest in participating in the energy projects was connected with the plan of the Baltic countries to establish a common electricity market of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia that, in the long run, might become a part of “Nord Pool”.
The Director-General welcomed the plan and expressed his determination to share his extensive experience in the establishment of a common market on a large scale.
