OPPOSITION PROCESSION DELEGATION MET WITH ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT SPEAKER

Participants of the opposition meeting, who undertook a procession to the residence of the Armenian President demanding his resignation and were stopped by the police cordon next to the building of the National Assembly in Baghramian Street, demanded a meeting with Parliament Chairman Artur Baghdasarian. As of 7:00 p.m., as delegates from those gathered deputy Victor Dallakian and another three opposition activists were allowed into the Parliament building to convey the demands of the procession participants to the Speaker. Specifically, they intend to suggest A. Baghdasarian meeting with the people and join the demand of resignation of Robert Kocharian. Besides, the opposition leadership has made a demand of Police Chief Hayk Harutyunian to remove the barriers and allow to move towards the Armenian President's residence, as well as provide an opportunity to TV companies for live transmission of the procession. In case of not meeting the demands soon, the oppositionists said they would organize processions in regions of Armenia.
