“This year is special not only to Cyprus and its people, but also to Lithuania as we celebrate twenty years of independence. I strongly hope that the warm and friendly relations between our countries and their people will grow even closer and that our cooperation ties will be further enriched by new political, cultural, business, and other initiatives beneficial for our both nations. We have been committed to this by our shared membership in the European Union, which is now six years old,” the President wrote in the letter of congratulations.

The President wished her Cyprian counterpart the best wishes for his personal success and for the wellbeing and prosperity of Cyprus and its people.
