“Lithuania and Spain have been working together for many years now to build a secure, flourishing and unified European continent. I therefore strongly hope that the relations between our two countries will become even closer, and that our dialogue and cooperation within the European Union will be further enhanced by ideas and proposals important for both our nations and the whole of Europe,” the President wrote in the letter of congratulations.
