The President writes in the letter that the unity of the multinational Switzerland and joint efforts of the Swiss people to create a secure, strong and prosperous country stand an excellent example of how security and well-being can be ensured by working hand in hand towards a common goal.

“Switzerland, with its history of successful existence for more than 700 years, is the best illustration of the importance of cohesion and unity in the world of today. I sincerely wish that the ideals and principles enshrined in the Federal Charter of 1291 remain the founding stone of prosperity of your country. I am confident that solidarity and concord in your country are those highest standards that Swiss watches are famous for,” the President writes.
