Published: 18 November 2010 y., Thursday

President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated President Valdis Zatlers of the Republic of Latvia and all Latvian people on Latvia's national holiday, the Independence Day.

“I would like to once again share my delight with the relationship that exists between our two nations and to thank you for the warm hospitality that has always been shown to me in Riga. I am convinced that together we will not only overcome the economic crisis, but we will emerge from it even stronger and more determined to further intensify our bilateral cooperation ties,” the President writes in the letter of congratulations and expresses confidence that the partnership between Lithuania and Latvia, enhanced by the close dialogue established by the heads of state, would continue to serve as a strong foundation for the common vision pursued by sisterly Baltic nations and states.
