The President and the OSCE Secretary General discussed Lithuania's preparations for its chairmanship of the OSCE in 2011 and the chairmanship priorities. Among the other issues touched upon during the meeting was the European security dialogue.
President Dalia Grybauskaitė noted that the OSCE election observation missions were highly important for the development of democracy in Europe and beyond its borders.
Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut underlined that President Grybauskaitė's personal role during Lithuania's chairmanship of the OSCE would be very meaningful.
