On Tuesday in Kazakhstan’s capital of Astana, the head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev met with a high level group concerning the creation of a common economic space

The meeting included the vice-premiers of Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as the Russian Minister of Industry and Energy. At a reception with the president, the group discussed items on the agenda of the upcoming summit of heads of state that will open in Astana on September 15.
After the meeting with Nursultan Nazarbayev, representatives opened the 15th meeting of the group. At the gathering they discussed top-priority agreements that should be signed by Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia for the creation of a common economic space. 29 documents were identified as having priority among a total of 85. They include agreements on levying common VAT taxes and establishing mutual trade between the states.
