Agreement on introducing the unique currency is approved again

The project of intergovernmental agreement on introducing the unique currency on the territory of Russia and Belarus is approved in the whole. This news was announced by the press service of the Financial Ministry of Russian Federation. The conference of the working group on preparing draft agreement headed by the vice prime-minister, Finances minister Alexej Kudrin and the president of the National Bank of Belarus Petr Prokopovich took place, RIA “Novosty” reported. At the conference the decision was taken by the end of August to finish the work on draft agreement about the order of regulating mutual demands and obligations in the case if Belarus refuses the agreement on using Russian ruble on its territory.
It was also decided that the Finances Ministries of the both countries would carry out the talks on signing the draft agreement on the indirect taxing and would analyze other issues in the sphere of tax-budget policy, connected with introducing of the Russian ruble on the Belarusian territory.
Шt was planned to introduce the Russian ruble on the Belarusian territory by the 1st of July, but Lukashenko didn’t sign the corresponding decree. In the National Bank of Belarus this Lukashenkko’s decision was explained by the necessity of supplementary consultations.
