Ukranian Prime Minister Victor Yanukovych has reiterated his country’s stance that calls for speeding up the transfer of power to the Iraqis, and for the United Nations to embark on a vital role to restore security and stability to Iraq.
In a statement to reporters following a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart, Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha in Kiev, Yanukovych underlined the importance of determining the period time during which the Ukrainian troops are scheduled to remain in Iraq , expressing hope that such a period must be as short as possible.
