Tomorrow, October 30, President Valdas Adamkus will receive Mr. Michael Chertoff, United States Secretary of Homeland Security, who will arrive in Vilnius for a one-day working visit.
Tomorrow, October 30, President Valdas Adamkus will receive Mr. Michael Chertoff, United States Secretary of Homeland Security, who will arrive in Vilnius for a one-day working visit.
Mr. Adamkus and Mr. Chertoff will discuss bilateral relations and the US visa-free regime to be introduced for Lithuanian nationals. Before their meeting, President Adamkus and Secretary Chertoff are expected to make statements to the press.
After the meeting, Secretary Michael Chertoff and Lithuania’s Interior Minister Regimantas Čiupaila will hold a press conference at the Presidential Palace (11.15 hours) to present detailed information about visa free travels by Lithuanian citizens to the United States: their start date and procedure.
