Vilnius Square to be opened by Presidents of Lithuania and Georgia

June 22, Monday, President Valdas Adamkus is leaving for a working visit to Georgia.

On June 23, President Adamkus will meet with President Mikheil Saakashvili of Georgia. The two Presidents will discuss joint bilateral and regional cooperation initiatives implemented during the second mandate of President Adamkus, the situation in Georgia, and the euroatlantic integration prospects of this South Caucasian state.

The President will also meet with the Mayor of Tbilisi, Giorgi Ugulava, and open a Lithuanian-language class where 15 adult citizens of Georgia will be learning Lithuanian.

Together with the Georgian leader, President Adamkus will take part in the opening ceremony of the Vilnius Square in Tbilisi.

Tuesday evening, President Adamkus will attend a reception held to celebrate the Millennium of Lithuania and on the occasion of his visit to Georgia.
