A Training Course Dedicated to ATM Security Issues, in Prague

Published: 1 March 2012 y., Thursday

The number of people using ATMs and their services is constantly growing. According to information published at liquid-nexxus.com website, there will be around 3 million ATMs in the world in 2015. However, this growing number of ATMs means that the number of crimes related to ATMs and other self-service equipment is also growing, which creates serious problems and inflict huge losses.

All these problems will be considered during the ATM Security Training course, which will take place in Prague on March 5-6 this year. It is organized by LiquidNexxus together with ATMIA (the ATM Industry Association). The training course will welcome specialists from banks and companies, responsible for self-service device security and prevention strategies, and everybody else for whom self-service equipment security is one of the most important issues. By the way, such training courses are constantly organized by the association in various cities around the world.

At the course, among other ATM security experts, two specialists from the BS/2 company, a member of the Penki Kontinentai Group, will share their experience; these are Paulius Bučelis, the director of the Sales Department, and Denis Korobkov, the head of the Presales Division. According to the specialists, the purpose of ATM Security Training is to give a deeper understanding of the current situation and provide an opportunity to share experience.

"Such training courses usually discuss improvements in fraud methods, measures to take when facing it, and ways to prevent the crimes. For ensuring ATM security, the BS/2 company offers ATMeye.iQ, an "intelligent" solution for video monitoring and conflict management; we will try to tell in detail about this solution at the course. This software solution helps reduce the risk of fraud and vandalism and the expenses allocated to resolve conflicts that arise in connection to self-service device users.

At the course, a lot of attention will be paid to the analysis of concrete cases: problems that have arisen in the past will be presented, their causes and consequences will be considered, possible ways to solve the problems will be discussed. The event organizers hope that the course participants will not only get an overview of the situation with ATM security in the world, but will also receive useful advice and answers to questions that they will have.
