However, with an increasing number of such cards there are also more relevant issues that are solved by the organizations in charge of supervision of payment cards. Considerable attention is given to the security problem. In 2005 the PCI Security Standards Council, including such members as VISA International, MasterCard Worldwide, American Express, approved a special PCI DSS (The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). It is an international information security standard for organizations that handle cardholder confidential information for the bank cards. A supplier, who complies with PCI DSS requirements, guarantees to the cardholder that his data is safe when paying for goods and services.
The topics relevant to this and such other (PA DSS, PTS) payment card standards as well as use thereof will be discussed at the international conference PCI DSS Implementation Training. It will take place on 6-7 June at the conference center of Penki Kontinentai on the 31st floor of Europa skyscraper in Vilnius. The event is organized by LiquidNexxus.
