Among the largest IT companies – the group of companies “Penki kontinentai”

The group of companies Penki kontinentai” has made it to the list of the country’s largest information and communications technology companies comprised annually by the newspaper “Verslo žinios”. The list was published last week and placed this one of the oldest and most advanced Lithuanian IT companies at the 8th place, which is two positions higher, compared with the previous year.

Established in 1992, the group of companies Penki kontinentai” consists of as much as 19 secondary companies. The company operating in the fields of IT, telecommunications, development and installation of banking and payment systems is managed by Idrakas Dadašovas. In 2011, the revenue of this Vilnius-based company, that employs about 250 employees, amounted to more than 117 million litas.

Although the recent downturn has adjusted the company’s plans, its stable growth did not stop; neither did the quality of its services decrease. On the contrary, the company invested in the modernization of fiber-optic network “Skynet”, continually increased the speed and conductivity of its fiber-optic “Skynet” Internet and extended the range of IPTV services. “Penki kontinentai” in cooperation with the company “Trinapolis” is successfully implementing the project “Loft Town” that takes place at the territory of the former Fuel Equipment Factory and the walls of the largest loft town in Eastern Europe are rising.
