Android-based smart POS-terminals come to the Baltic market

Published: 23 December 2021 y., Thursday

ASHBURN International introduced to the market a modern solution for cashless payment acceptance. New SUNMI P2 payment terminals based on the Android operating system and running TransLink.iQ software have already appeared in retail outlets.

An important aspect of these devices is the improved ergonomics of these portable terminals - user-friendly setup and ease of use, close to the already established standards of mobile devices.

It is important to note that these terminals can be equipped with various business applications necessary for the field in which the trade and service company operates. For example, various applications for retail, restaurant business, insurance business, logistics etc. integrated with the payment application.

"Development of functionality and improvement of user experience are the main directions of modern POS-terminals development. These devices make it possible to combine the functions of traditional payment terminals with those features that modern business applications provide. In addition, the speed and quality of customer service are noticeably improving," says Dainius Einoris, head of the TSP Services Department.

In the Baltic States, merchants can already order SUNMI terminals by contacting ASHBURN International.

We chose SUNMI as the manufacturer because of the highest quality standards of the devices produced by this company, which is one of the leaders in the production of modern technological solutions for retail trade. The subsidiaries of Penki Kontinentai, which includes ASHBURN International, already provide high-quality maintenance of these terminals.

If we refer to the world practice, the key feature of POS-terminals based on Android is that these devices can provide several key business functions: accepting cashless payments from customers, conducting cash operations, printing full cash receipt, as well as transmitting fiscal data in real time, in case there is such a requirement from the Tax Authorities.

Such technological concept "Terminal - three in one" is becoming more widespread in the world, as it allows business owners to abandon the separate cash registers and payment terminals of previous generations, while meeting the current requirements of regulatory agencies.

ASHBURN International jointly with its partners is planning to launch several additional business applications that could be installed on these terminals for the convenience of trade and service enterprises. At the same time, the company is interested in continuous expansion of the partner base in this direction, so it invites such companies to cooperate both in the Baltic states and internationally.
