BS/2 Becomes ATM Service Market Leader in Kazakhstan

Published: 30 January 2018 y., Tuesday

BS/2 Kazakhstan, a subsidiary of the Lithuanian Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2) company, signed an agreement with one of the largest banks in the country, Sberbank – according to which BS/2 Kazakhstan will provide servicing of the Sberbank-run unattended devices‘ network.

"This deal is proof of a high level of our offered services, as BS/2 provides not only specialized hardware and software solutions for banks and other financial institutions, but also services. Servicing a network of more than 1,000 units by BS/2 Kazakhstan, which already serves over 2,600 self-service devices, makes us a market leader – and obliges us a lot", says Gintaras Petkevičius, head of BS/2 maintenance department.

According to Petkevičius, BS/2 renders its services through 49 service centers in 8 world countries. The largest number of them is in Kazakhstan, which is due to the obligations undertaken by the company.

BS/2 and Sberbank have been cooperating since 2006. During those years more than 500 ATMs were delivered; in early 2017, the advanced VTM.iQ hard- and software platforms were installed in two Sberbank branches in Astana and Almaty, allowing live video consulting with the bank‘s employees, as well as opening and closing the account, checking its balance, cash withdrawal and deposit, obtaining a bank card, currency exchange and paying various bills.

Currently, the Sberbank network in Kazakhstan has 16 subsidiaries and 67 branches spread throughout the country. It has been successfully operating in the Kazakh financial market for 11 years already, and is included in Top 5 of core banks.

"Today, Sberbank focuses on the development and implementation of technologies," says Sergei Gubin, Sberbank Operations Manager. "To achieve this goal, we not only regularly expand and modernize the unattended devices’ network, but also strive to make them as accessible to our customers as possible with regard to location logistics, and also within the parameters of maximum technical accessibility. BS/2 Kazakhstan is one of the leading companies in the field of service of banking equipment – and we are pleased to see it among our partners."

"BS/2 Kazakhstan uses Service Desk.iQ software developed by the Penki Kontinentai group designed to optimize complex business processes, assignment, execution and closing of customer requests, service division’s work organization and reporting," Mr. Petkevičius says.

BS/2 Kazakhstan, a subsidiary of the Lithuanian BS/2 company, was founded in 2008 in Almaty. Currently, it has the largest network of 23 service centers, which supply specialized Diebold Nixdorf banking equipment and BS/2 software, as well as offer ATMs and self-service devices‘ maintenance services. BS/2 Kazakhstan employs certified engineers and other specialists.
