BS/2 Representatives Visit Georgia

Published: 12 March 2012 y., Monday

In early March this year, a delegation led by T. Bublys, the technical director of BS/2's Technical Maintenance Department, is visiting Georgia. The main goals of the visit are to meet partners and customers and to audit the services provided by BS/2 Georgia, a subsidiary company.

According to Bublys, the Georgian market is a unique one, because as much as 95 percent of it is occupied by banking hardware from Wincor Nixdorf corporation (ATMs, ATSs, POS terminals, etc.), and for this reason many different meetings are expected to take place during the visit.

"Having been working in Georgia for over a decade, we have many customers there, including the country's largest banks such as Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, and Liberty Bank. Since banks are always expanding and modernizing their device networks, during the visit we, together with Wincor Nixdorf specialists, are going to present Cineo, a new-generation line of self-service devices, which features the Cash Recycling function, allowing accepting and dispensing cash. Beside that, during the meetings we will discuss completed projects and prospects for future cooperation," said Bublys.

The BS/2 specialists will also visit BS/2 Georgia office, where they will audit the technical maintenance services.

"The package of services provided by the Tbilisi-based company includes the supply and maintenance of hardware and software, consulting, and outsourcing. During the audit, we will assess the self-service device maintenance services and how they comply with ITIL V3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), a set of practices for IT service management, and with the ISO 20000 standards," said Bublys.

For over 16 years, the BS/2 company, a member of the Penki Kontinentai Group, has been active in the banking technology market. While specializing in developing banking and retail software solutions, the Company also supplies self-service devices, provides maintenance, systems integration and outsourcing services. BS/2, an international company, is a long-time partner of the Wincor Nixdorf corporation. The Company‘s products and solutions have been implemented in more than 65 countries around the world.
