International forum on remote services - focus on mobile technologies

4th International Forum „Remote Services, Cards and Payments 2013“ took place in Moscow, which was held by PLUS Journal specializing in finance and banking areas.

According to the organizers, this year's forum was distinguished by a record number of participants. Just in two days more than 1200 delegates from 35 world countries had registered for the forum, including banks, international payment system developers, innovative service providers and government representatives. At the forum, 57 presentations were made by the speakers from governmental institutions, international associations, banks, research agencies, etc. Companies from various countries displayed their products for the visitors in 55 exhibition stands.

The greatest focus at the event was brought to mobile devices. According to Konstantin Butrimovič, the Head of Mobile Device Software Development Department at BS/2, who visited the forum in Moscow, vast expansion of smart phones and tablets opens up more and more opportunities for all sectors to offer and develop software solutions.

"Mobile device popularity and their unlimited usage potential is emphasized at all similar events. Mobile devices penetrate the payments market, as well. Mobile applications are being supplemented with various additional features and integrated into big systems. Today, a lot of mobile apps are being developed for banks, retail companies as well as for the customers of these sectors. Our company introduced the participants of the forum to the mobile versions of the solutions ATMeye.iQ and Service Desk.iQ that are successfully used in the banking sectors of several countries", said K. Butrimovič.

In his final speech, Alexander Grizov, the Chairman of the Forum Organizing Committee, expressed a hope that the event have not only provided an opportunity for the representatives to learn about new and interesting ideas and projects of their counterparts, but also helped establish relations that will later support business development and contribute to the expansion of the general national payment system. The next forum on remote services will take place on June 9-10, 2014.
