National “Mobotix” Partner Conference: new equipment and software solutions

Published: 10 May 2012 y., Thursday

More than one hundred fifty participants from the Baltic countries, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe – this much guests were received by the national “Mobotix” partner conference which ended on 8 May in Riga. Representatives of the long-time partner of this German manufacturer, the group of companies Penki kontinentai”, also attended the conference.

“It was the Baltic countries that attracted the greatest attention in this year’s meeting”, said the representative of the group of companies “Penki kontinentai” Darius Krasinskas. “The company “Mobotix” considers our markets to be particularly promising, which is confirmed by figures: over the last few years, sales of high-definition surveillance cameras in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia increased from 50 to 100 percent, and a steady growth of 30 percent is promised for the next three years”.

During the conference, equipment and software solutions as well as various improvements to be introduced in the market in the near future were presented. Particular attention was paid to a recent “Mobotix” product – digital video door station T24 with integrated high-definition camera and wide capabilities of installation in the overall security and IT structure of any building.

“Reviewing innovations presented in Riga, it is also necessary to highlight few software solutions that facilitate equipment monitoring for the clients and making the work planning of those installing the cameras much easier. One of them is an application “MxHomeApp”, enabling the monitoring and management of all cameras and video telephony of the building by means of “iPhone” and “iPad” devices”, said D. Krasinskas. “And, of course, very necessary details – people counting and heat maps installed in cameras, which furthermore will be installed in hemispheric Q24 cameras with 360-degree viewing angle and S14 cameras with two lens units. I want to emphasize that the foregoing are both technological innovation and new marketing opportunities, because such analytical tools in video cameras offer a variety of options, for example, monitoring the flows of people in shops or cafes, viewing the intensity of the flows and, on the basis of it, planning the scope of work”.

In the conference, national “Mobotix” partners could also have a look at the most interesting projects that have been already implemented. Some of them revealed the use of video cameras in vehicles, for example, for the protection against fuel theft or travel ticket sale violations, while others were intended for industrial and logistics sectors to optimize processes and to protect property. Governmental projects, implementation of which may last for 3-5 years and which are intended for the integrated protection of buildings were also presented in the event.

“The good news is that this time in Riga, as well as in previous conferences of the partners, “Mobotix” invited the visitors not only to take a look at technological innovation”, said D. Krasinskas. “During the conference, working groups paid particular attention to marketing and commerce solutions, improved their skills of sale of “Mobotix” cameras and project management, estimated the return of investment so that we could clearly say to our clients to whom various “SmartBuilding” systems are offered – more expensive and advanced product does not necessarily imply more expensive implementation and maintenance of the solution”.
