The Penki Kontinentai Group Scores 47 Million Euros in Revenue

Published: 13 February 2019 y., Wednesday

The Penki Kontinentai group, which has been operating in the field of IT technologies almost for 30 years, registered high financial indicators in 2018. Its income amounted to 47 million euros (in 2017 - 34 million euros), unaudited profit - 1.7 million euros (in 2017 - 2.2 million euros).

A company owned by the group, Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2), achieved the most significant results this year. It implemented a number of projects for more than 5 million euros only in Kazakhstan. BS/2 exceeded the annual sales plan in Moldova and Belarus doubly.

Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairperson of the Penki Kontinentai Board, argued that the success of the group in 2018 is due to the strategy of active regional development, as well as the introduction of new products and services.

“Last year was especially active and dynamic for our group. We made a long-planned breakthrough and took a strong position in the market of some countries. The achieved results motivate us to move forward, setting new goals. We strive to become partners of our customers and provide them a full range of services from one source,” said Idrakas Dadašovas.

During the international projects, BS/2 has sold the record amount of self-service devices. The number of serviced banking equipment exceeded 25,000 units (ATMs, payment kiosks, automatic safes, etc.). BS/2 provides technical support to nearly 3,000 self-service devices in Kazakhstan. A similar agreement on servicing the ATM network and updating the software was signed in Georgia. BS/2 expanded its cooperation with a Scandinavian bank operating in the Baltic countries, to which the company provides technical support and modernization of banking equipment.

According to I.Dadašovas, the group of companies strengthened its position in Uzbekistan, where it exceeded the sales plan more than 6 times. The company BS/2 sold 300 ATMs with cash recycling function and software solution FCX.iQ for currency exchange. The total worth of the projects has reached almost 7 million euros. The staff of the BS/2 TASHKENT subsidiary has been increased to develop the company in Uzbekistan.

Another company of the Penki Kontinentai group, ASHBURN International, which specializes in solutions for the management and monitoring of POS terminal networks, also started its work in this country. The company signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement with the Common Republican Processing Center (CRPC). The contract deals with the sale of 250,000 licenses for POS terminals administered by CRPC, belonging to 28 banks, and the implementation of the software solution TransLink.iQ developed by ASHBURN International. Its functionality was expanded and adapted for the market of Uzbekistan.

Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras (PKKC), the Penki fiber optic Internet provider, invested over 2 million euros in upgrading the network and equipment. The rebranding of the fiber-optic Internet took place last year. The old trademark name Skynet was replaced by Penki. PKKC offers Lithuanian companies a whole range of professional IT services ProfIT. Its new clients are Lietuvos oro uostai, Lietuvos geležinkeliai, Kauno vandenys and others.
