Vilnius Welcomes Annual Bankers‘ Tennis Tournament

Published: 11 November 2015 y., Wednesday

This November 14-15 the 8th International Banking and Financial Institutions (BFI) Tennis Cup tournament is being held at the Vilnius-based SEB arena. The tournament is traditionally sponsored by „Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos“ (BS/2) company.

According to BS/2 Deputy Manager Tomas Augucevičius, each year BFI Tennis Cup attracts more and more interest. "Last year participants from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia have shown a lot of unpredictable and tough battles. We hope this year we‘ll see more enthusiasts of tennis and have wonderful time at the courts", - Mr Augucevičius said.

The tournament will include individual as well as team competitions. It is expected that this year's tournament will gather approximately 70 participants from a number of banks and financial institutions.

SEB Bank is among the tournament‘s favourites. Last year SEB Bank representatives from Latvia have won the 1st place, while the joint Danske Bank team was the 2nd, and Nordea Bank – the 3rd.

The BFI Cup is a traditional tennis event gathering top executives, board members and even presidents from the Baltic States‘ banking and financial institutions.
