But he noted that on 3 September, Kyrgyz war planes continued to bombard suspected positions held by fighters from the banned Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, RFE/RL's bureau in the Kyrgyz capital reported. Some 30 Kyrgyz servicemen have officially been reported killed over that period, although some observers believe that figure is higher.
