Austria: According to the most recent exit polls coming out of Austria, the country's main right and left-wing parties are neck and neck in the European elections. Austria's extreme right Freedom Party is believed to have suffered a large drop in support.
Germany: German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's Social Democrats suffered heavy losses according to exit polls.
The SPD scored their worst result in 25 years of direct European elections, with 23.0 percent of the vote. The conservative opposition scored 46.5%.
Greece: The country's ruling New Democracy Party has outstripped the opposition Socialist Party, winning 43% of the vote against the socialist's 33%.
