The biggest in Germany chess tournament ended yesterday. As many as 512 chess players, 35 out of which were grandmasters, participated there.
The only Lithuanian representative Eduardas Rozentalis won against the Check grandmaster Tom Polac in the final round and having 7 points out of 9 shared the 5-23 places. Congratulations!
The first four were leading only by a half of the point… According to the tie breaking system, Vladimir Akopian from Armenia took the first place. Russian chess player Vladimir Baklan was the second, American Aleksandr Šabalov – the third and Pole Michalas Krasenkov – the fourth.
