While preparing for the 11th International Forum “BankIT 2014” that will be held in Belarus, we offer you an interview with Idrakas Dadašovas, the Chairman of the Board of the group of companies "Penki kontinentai", the forum’s golden partner.

What trends of your company’s prospective development in the banking sector can you see? What are the most popular banking solutions today, and what, in your opinion, will be in demand in the next few years?

The preferred directions of the group of companies “Penki kontinentai” have always included development and installation of the business management systems, IT outsourcing services, data and software security. In addition, the Group has been implementing various projects in banks and other financial institutions as well as in the retail, IT and telecommunication sectors. Penki kontinentai operates in 67 countries around the world, both directly and through partners.

In the Belarusian market, the company focuses on CashRecycling technology for automatic safes and ATMs. Safes provided by the company “Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos” (BS/2) that is a part of the secondary group of companies have a closed cash cycle (i.e. the human factor disappears altogether), thus allowing to reduce the risk of fraud and theft. Such devices also ensure security when working with cash, because they immediately fall into a safe, automatize cashiers’ jobs.

ASHBURN International (ASHBURN), the secondary company of the Group, finds the e-payment market of Belarus interesting and promising, and long-term experience in the field of bank card processing in the Baltic countries allows this Lithuanian company to offer professional solutions to the said market. In addition, with demand for e-services growing, banks get new opportunities for developing a variety of loyalty programs. ASHBURN specializes in this field, and the company is ready to work with the Belarusian banks.

Participants believe that “BankIT” is one of the most significant events organized in Belarus, aiming at banking sector informatization related discussions. What are the expectations you bring to the forum?

The “BankIT” forum provides you with the latest information concerning the preferred directions of development of the banking and retail sectors in Belarus, situation in banking automation, and future IT-trends. In addition, it is a good opportunity to meet with customers and partners, and discuss on-going projects and possible future cooperation.

Companies of "Penki kontinentai" Group have been successfully operating in the Belarusian market of banking services supplying their products and services. The group of companies cooperates with the country’s leading enterprises and sees major prospects and opportunities of further development of its activities in this market. Once again meetings with experts and messages of “BankIT” forum confirm the rapid growth of Belarusian market and its banking sector in particular.

We sincerely believe that cooperation with the Embassy of Belarus to Lithuania, participation in bilateral business meetings and supporting cultural initiatives will help us to contribute to strengthening of trade and business relations with the neighbouring countries.
