TransLink.iQ Integrates POS Terminals with a Hotel Management System

Published: 3 September 2020 y., Thursday

ASHBURN International integrated the POS network management and transaction routing solution TransLink.iQ with Oracle Hospitality OPERA and Oracle Hospitality Suite8 hotel management systems. The project was implemented in cooperation with HRS Hospitality & Retail Systems.

Complete hospitality management solutions are designed for both independent hotels and international chains. Systems consist of modules that can be easily configured depending on the exact requirements of a particular hotel. Solutions can coordinate the work of booking services, reception, accommodation, banquets, accounting, sales department.

Software integration with POS terminals will allow hotels to automate the payment process and reduce customer service time. TransLink.iQ helps hotel staff to manage a payment transaction at the terminal, working in their standard menu of Oracle Hospitality OPERA or Oracle Hospitality Suite8.

“We are constantly developing the TransLink.iQ functionality, taking into account customer needs. POS integration with other systems allows you to optimize work processes both in retail chains and in hotels, car rental companies. In order to manage payments via a POS terminal from an external system, our specialists have expanded the capabilities of the xConnect module of the TransLink.iQ system to a set of functions used in the hotel business,” says Executive Director of ASHBURN International Žoržas Šarafanovičius.

The xConnect module of the TransLink.iQ system is designed as a mechanism that provides a link connection between TransLink.iQ Smart POS and cash register software. According to the representative of ASHBURN International, the range of operations in the hotel business is much wider than in trade organizations. It includes pre-authorization of the card, the limit increase, payment confirmation, refund, the transaction with manual entry of the card number, pre-activation on one POS terminal, and completion on another. Similar functionality may be required in car rental.

The automatic input of payment transaction parameters eliminates the possibility of errors during manual input and significantly speeds up payment processes. The transaction is instantly displayed in the system.

“We implemented the first project to integrate the TransLink.iQ system with the OPERA hotel management system in the Azerbaijani hotel of a large Marriott chain. We offer such services in Lithuania, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and other regions where we offer TransLink.iQ solution,” says Žoržas Šarafanovičius.
