Unisys Stealth Wins TechAmerica 2014 American Technology Award for Cybersecurity

Published: 3 June 2014 y., Tuesday

Unisys Stealth has been named the recipient of the TechAmerica Foundation American Technology Award (ATA) in cybersecurity. The ATAs represent outstanding achievement, with winning products exemplifying the “Best of” the United States technology sector.

“We want to thank the TechAmerica Foundation for recognizing the value of the innovative Unisys Stealth approach to helping clients achieve mission-critical security,” said Rod Sapp, vice president, security and cloud products, Unisys. “At a time when cyber attacks are increasing in frequency, scale and sophistication, Stealth takes a unique approach to protecting an organization’s vital assets from increasingly sophisticated threats both inside and outside the enterprise.”

Unisys Stealth uses advanced data protection and encryption technologies to help organizations mitigate cybersecurity attacks and hacker incidents by rendering devices, data and end users undetectable on the network. The solution establishes secure “communities of interest” within an enterprise where only authorized users can access information. Users outside those communities cannot access the information or even know that it exists.

Winners of the ATAs are selected based on a thorough evaluation by industry experts and technology leaders. The awards were presented at TechAmerica’s first annual ATA showcase on May 20 in Washington, D.C. Stealth was selected for the award from among 12 entrants in the cybersecurity category.

“Unisys’s Stealth stood apart from its competitors by the way it integrated efficiency, seamless operation, versatility and innovation into one solution,” said Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO of CompTIA. “The American Technology Awards single out the best of the best, and Unisys topped the competition in cybersecurity.”

TechAmerica is the public sector and public policy division of CompTIA.
